"Hi, Amber-Lee...and also @girlygrizzly and also Alaska Chick and also Pioneer Outfitters. OK, get my drift? Where shall I focus?"~@Soulati

~Thus, my identity crisis! So part of this journey that I call my life and these new experiences I am having online along with what I hope to accomplish with all that I have learned and am learning, is to find out where I fit in...

I am Amber-Lee, I am also Alaska Chick. Alaska Chick belongs to Pioneer Outfitters (well, I do!), I represent Pioneer Outfitters and Master Guide Terry Overly.... @girlygrizzly is my Twitter handle and my email! So. Here it is...me figuring who I am out.

This Is My Mission Statement, My Journey.

I am at my best when I am busy making progress. When the pressure is on and things are starting to get complicated. When I am sitting in the saddle, figuratively and literally stronger.

I will try to prevent times when my defenses are down and I feel personally and mistakenly judged..
I will enjoy my work by living the life that allows me to create. Beautiful things with pictures and words to make life more organized.

I love the freedom of being in charge on a thousand pound animal and the feeling of strength, cleansing and renewal that riding gives me..

I find enjoyment and immense satisfaction that my personal life is so wrapped and intertwined in my professional life. It is difficult to separate the two. I love to read, to learn, to train and to ride..
I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as photography. I've always loved exploring and trying to capture the breathtaking. Being able to make decisions and take command is something I have always known was part of my make-up..

I can do anything I set my mind to. I will do exactly what I am doing, I will continue to become even more skilled and diverse.

My life's journey is one of personal growth and learning. The one thing I would like to come of this journey is to make a positive difference in Pioneer Outfitters. I am it for Pioneer Outfitters and for myself and my children. I want to be proud of something really special I have done, and give my children and Master Guide Terry Overly a reason, other than love, to be proud "of" me.

I grew up here in Chisana with Pioneer Outfitters, I've always worked hard. I want to do more than just work on what needs to be done. I want to help create and broaden our future with and as Pioneer Outfitters.

What I've done is bring Pioneer Outfitters to the Web and to a whole new, big world. I've learned incredible things so far and I will know my dream has come true when we are booked solid a year in advance..

My little fantasy..."SURPRISE!!" My 80th birthday party has begun. My children and grandchildren are here. My brother and sister, their spouses and children and grandchildren are here. My Mom, sadly, passed early this year just after her 100th birthday.

A few of my dearest and closest friends are here. It is funny thinking about how I met some of them way back in 2011 when I was first starting out on line and learning how to use Social Media. Kaarina, Janet and Dino stood up with champagne to make a toast to me, together. How they moved my heart with their words. They said they were proud to know me that I was an honest and loyal friend, a fearless horsewoman and a wonderful tribute to Master Guide Terry Overly and Pioneer Outfitters.

My most important future contribution to others will have an keep open and daring mind and heart..

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:

  • Taking my Registered Guide Test.

  • Go to an outdoor cooking school.

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:

  • Fearless

  • Ability to Listen

  • Enchanting

I will constantly renew myself by focusing on the four dimensions of my life:

  • Horseback riding in the mountains with my Nikon D300.

  • Finding someone to share and support my desire to be closer to God and to be ready for the direction He points me.

  • To have time to continue this great time of learning and the peace and quiet to learn and implement what needs to be done.

  • To find someone who can be proud of me and mentor me in personal, spiritual and professional growth.
