Happy Birthday, Alaska Chick and The Year of the Horse!

In January of 2011, still recovering from my last Ischemic stroke in 2010, Alaska Chick’s Blog was born. 2011 was as enlightening as it was a blessing in too many ways to mention, while learning what was needed to bring Pioneer Outfitters to the world and how to navigate the internet and Social Media universe. 2012 was a year of learning and incredible experiences.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday!

2013 was absolutely and amazingly clear with the message it had for the entire Pioneer Outfitters Team, throughout its challenges, successes and disasters. The message? Everything we do as people, throughout our lives that really lasts is rooted in Love. In business, in our personal lives and in our professional lives, the lessons we truly take from the rigors of life are rooted, learned and passed on; are all products of or are based on a passion in the heart.

2014 is The Year of the Horse.

The message couldn’t be any clearer for us here at Pioneer Outfitters and on Alaska Chick’s Blog. The horse is as important to Pioneer Outfitters as the warmth from the wood cut all year long to keep us warm in the long and immensely cold Alaskan winters.

Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat, which causes entities to quickly pull far away from it and usually hide.

Hide? We will not hide! We will be the hunters and we will be the leaders. We are the leaders that serve and protect the ones following. As Professional Guides, some of that is as natural as the air we breathe. As Leaders we will be aligning ourselves with others who feel as we do that there is much to be explored, pioneered and shared with the world in 2014.

The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”  ~Joseph Campbell

Happy Birthday!

It is The Year of the Horse! It is Pioneer Outfitters 90th Anniversary and it is going to be a FEARLESS year! We all hope YOU will be part of it and our Team.

Be Fearless!

“When a resolute young fellow steps up to the great bully, the world, and takes him boldly by the beard, he is often surprised to find it comes off in his hand, and that it was only tied on to scare away the timid adventurers.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Fear is the main source of superstition, and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom.”
~ Bertrand Russell

Happy Birthday to all of you too, that have helped Alaska Chick’s Blog become so real to the world. You are every bit as much a part of it’s success as the words that are written here, that you chose to share with the world. Thank you.

    • ♫♪♫♪♪♫ •*¨*•♫♪♪Happy Birthday to You!! •*¨*•♫♪♪ To us both! This will be an awesome year for us both, of that I am sure. I know for a fact I and we could not have come this far without your help.
Fearless. You represent that to me, inspire it in me as well, Ann. Your Fearless pursuit for good and right, and how you share that with all those in your own life- it has touched us all as well.

    • Harleena!
Thank you, dear lady! You have been such a huge part of my own learning and growth.
I wish for you all the blessings and happiness a heart can hold!
Here is to us all in 2014!

    • It’s a big deal, Sandy, as I know you understand as well.
We have seen many people with such gifts to share, simply disappear from our lives online, both of us.
I made a promise when we began, that I would not quit.
Thank you, for your wishes and your guidance in life.

  2. wOW! You have more life stories that I want to hear. Stroke? I didn’t know that about you! Amazing!

Fear separates the boys from the men in my mind (that goes for girls from women, too!). EVERYONE has them. No one is immune. But he who doesn’t let them control his life has become an invaluable asset to the world as a leader!

You ARE fearless! Here’s to some awesome adventures in 2014!! Happy Birthday to all of you!

    • Not Stoke, Betsy, StokeS. LOL
Well, obviously I am still needed here more than there, so here I will stay and continue to become who I was meant to be. Who’s that? I have no idea! LOL, I am simply learning all I can, sharing as much of it as I can, paying it forward.
Yes, we ALL have fears. That is one of the biggest reasons that we chose Be Fearless, was to help us all remember that fact and that everything we dream of is on the other side of those fears. And each time an single human faces a fear and shares it with the world, it helps someone else out there see the crumpled shirt falling off the hanger, NOT the monster that they created in their own minds.
Thank you!! For the wishes and all your support, teachings, insight and friendship.
