Monday Motivation, The Path You Choose

There comes a time in every life that we must choose.

We must choose the Path we are going to take.

It is different for each person, I believe, and comes to us all at different moments throughout our lives.

The Path you choose will be the walk you talk, the talk you talk, the way you live your life personally and professionally and how you will impact the lives that intersect with your own.

“I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” ~E.B. White

We choose the Path we will take emotionally, spiritually and professionally.

We make choices that in some ways come from but also determine our character.

These are not easy choices for some of us but they are choices we live with throughout our lives.

The Path You Choose

The Path you choose

The Path You Choose

The Path isn’t chosen by talking about it.

For instance, you can’t say “I am an honorable person.” and it is just so. No, you must live your life as an honorable person and be that honorable person.

You can’t just go buy a tattoo that speaks of commitment and dedication and assume to be committed and dedicated.

You must be these things, every day, or they are only pretty words written on your body.

As a child we hope and dream of what we will “be” and the wonderful things we will do.

We speak to others about our plans and sometimes even change our minds on a regular basis.

As we grow older we still do this to some degree.

As we learn and grow, our interests and priorities change.

Growing pains never really leave us, they simply morph into a more mental confusion type pain for a while before the physical pain comes back with more and more aging. (snort!)

The Path You Choose

The Path we choose to walk and live by is how our lives will be lived.

Our choices will affect those around us and those we come into contact with throughout our lives.

The Path we choose will bring us great joy and crushing sadness; it is the way of life. There cannot be one without the other.

“Life is not always fair. Sometimes you get a splinter sliding down a rainbow.” ~Terri Guillemets

There is one last thing to remember of this Path we choose.

We can also choose another.

At any time throughout our lives, as we grow and learn, we may choose a different Path.

A better Path for who we are now.

Have a lovely week and walk your path with a good heart.

    • LOL, Somehow I just knew that was going to be the favorite quote! But aside from the silliness, it is true, even during our happiest times…splinters happen. And yes, we can change the Path we are on by simply changing directions. It isn’t always easy, sometimes it can be pretty hard… but so are most things we value the most. LOL, well, Monday Motivation!
