Amazing People Standing for Survival

There are some amazing people standing for survival. All standing for survival of a way of life, of a community, of a near-century old business and of the horses that range free in the remote Alaska Mountains.

It is hard asking for help. Knowing that and knowing that our decision to Be Fearless is a promise that cannot be broken, I chose to launch the fundraiser Stand for the Man in Black to replace the aircraft so many rely on for survival.

You can make a difference. There are many ways to make a difference to help us ensure the survival of this historic community and way of life. Stand for the Man in Black Continues is the post I wrote for the launch of Stand for the Man in Black II (2).

Amazing People Standing for Survival

Standing for Survival

Stand for the Man in Black (the first run) was launched on April 23rd, 2014. A total of 42 amazing individuals contributed $7655.00 towards the ultimate goal of $250,000.00 to replace the vital aircraft destroyed by fire on September 16, 2013.

These 42 people were not alone standing with us. There are others, who #Stand4theManinBlack to help us ensure the survival of a near-century old business, a historic community and the range horses that run free in these mountains. The aircraft is our lifeline to the world outside of these remote Alaska Mountains.

  • You can #Stand4theManinBlack by being right here, for us, helping us to Stay the Path and keep the faith. Your encouragement, friendships, advice and input matters to us. A lot.

Our friends, Paul and Allison Preston, have also written to their families and friends, reaching out to their own communities as well, asking for people to understand what it means; for us and for themselves.

Paul’s words were beautiful, meaning so much to me, understanding that this wisdom he shares was so far away from how I lived for far too long.

This wisdom he shares in his own FaceBook status came to me living in Chisana and the blessings that found me through sharing Chisana with others, guiding and leading them to their own dreams.
