Wow. It is already June. We will be leaving in a couple of weeks to begin (again, yes) filming. At dang near the same time, we will be bringing in the newest additions to our herd of range horses. Walking the Walk. The biggest and baddest Adventure of all. Riding horses cross country for days on end, breaking and training as we go.
More Adventurers will be arriving on the heals of the horse trip ~ along with the rest of our Team. Followed (very) closely by our Fall Big Game Hunt clients and an intense two months of hunting for the Big Game like the beautiful white Dall Ram, the majestic Alaska-Yukon Moose and the Grizzly Bear that roam the wilderness we live in.
“Be careful what you wish for.” ~ Right? LOL, well, I am happy. And blessings are so easy to see in every direction, every day.
You, all, gave me that. By teaching me, talking to me, asking me questions and having faith in my answers. Allowing me to share with you, our lives. Sharing with us in our hopes and dreams for the future. Sharing the terrifying moments and great successes. Standing strong next to me when I need guidance, without fail.
You. You have touched our lives.
So! This is my way of giving you advance warning and a reminder that soon, when you don’t see me around or hear from me quite as often, that I haven’t vanished. I haven’t taken “a break”, I haven’t quit or forgotten my responsibilities to our friendship (budding or in full bloom!), our Communities or lost interest in what has helped me be so much more.
I’ll be in the field with the rest of our Team of Professional Guides and Alaska Guide Trainees with our guests and clients. Oh sure! I’ll be back! Every 10 days, most often, I will come back, transcribe the posts I have written “in the field”, download the pictures, recharge batteries, unpack, and love on my children before saying good bye to the guests I just made life-long memories with, re-pack (!!), say hello to our newest guests, finish their paperwork, hug my children and remind them to be good and head back into the Alaskan wilderness for the next Adventure.
We do have a few 20-day Adventure guests and clients this year, so if I miss a check in, don’t fret, I’ll be back in another ten! Our contact information is ALL OVER the web (and this website!), so if you just can’t stand it, go ahead, call! You will be told all is well, to hang in there and when we are expected to return.
So many of our new friends can also be found on Linked In, but I tend to spend most of my time online on Google+ in my favorite Communities, on FaceBook, Twitter and Pinterest. So, Pioneer Outfitters, Alaska Chick, Amber-Lee Dibble and @AlaskaChickBlog may be a little quieter from the end of June until mid-October.
Don’t forget me, ok?

~Hey! And there is something else that I have been thinking about. I am considering removing the second subscription box above. The original thought behind the second box was to make available every convenience for you, in consideration of your time. Everything seems to move so fast, that “quick and easy” is almost a requirement, online.
Have you signed up inside the “Keep in the Loop” box, above? Have you signed up with “Subscribe” to receive notice whenever a new post is published on Alaska Chick’s Blog? Both? Sigh, this is why I am considering removing one.
~ Hi there!
~ This is the important box! This sign up, “Keep in the Loop” delivers to you, The Chisana News Wire.
Make sure that you have signed up for The Chisana News Wire to receive the monthly newsletter keeping you in the loop with what is happening in Chisana, at Pioneer Outfitters and with the Alaska Guide Trainees that work towards becoming Professional Alaska Guides.
→→ The second box, Box 2, was a “subscription” box to assure that you were notified whenever a post was published here. Hmm… I’ve never been terribly happy with this sign up, simply trusted that it was the “right” thing to do for you, and us. →→
So what do You think? Are you willing to sign up in the “Keep in the Loop” box, if you have not already? We never-never-ever share your information, no how, no way. Let me know your thoughts. I have to get everything tidied up before I head into the wilderness. (I hate coming home to a messy house!) Take care and have LOTS of safe Adventures this Summer too! (Maybe some of them will be with us! Yipee!)
