Happy 3rd Birthday Alaska Chick’s Blog!

Happy Birthday Alaska Chick's Blog!

For Alaska Chick’s 3rd birthday, I thought it would be best celebrated by celebrating others.

On January 23, 2013, the amazing Carolyn Nicander Mohr of The Wonder of Tech bestowed upon Alaska Chick’s Blog the Super Sweet Blogging Award.

(I do think that Carolyn thinks we are sweet because I ask the most basic of ignorant questions about tech! Either that or she thinks I know more than I do, and am just being funny….)

Super Sweet Blogging AwardTo follow the rules attached to being given the SuperSweet Blogging Award, I must do two things. (I always say…there are ALWAYS strings!)

First. Answer five (5) questions.
Next, Name a baker’s dozen (That would be 13) Super Sweet Bloggers to pass the Award onto.

The Five Questions:
1. Cookie or Cake?
~ Cookie!!
2. Chocolate or Vanilla?
~ Chocolate, duh.
3. What is your favorite sweet treat?
~ Ritter Sport Alpine Milk Chocolate
4. When do you crave sweet things the most?
~ The most-the most? That would be bedtime! (my chocolate stash in my bedside table.)
5. If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?
~ My Grandpa gave me my first and only sweet or nice nickname growing up, and he called me his Honey-Girl, until he passed away when he was 97 years old and I was 28.

A Baker’s Dozen of amazingly sweet bloggers who I believe would be grand recipients to the Super Sweet Blogging Award are:

Ann Jane …   Willy Nilly, This and That (Although she is waaay to busy keeping me, my own blog and Pioneer Outfitters running smoothly, she hasn’t written in a long time!)

Brian Meeks  …  Extremely Average

Becky Lou … Becky Lou Outdoors

Elena Patrice … Websites That Giveback

Jeanene Arrington-Fisher … Not A Clue Adventures

Laura Erdman-Luntz … Live Your Extraordinary Life

Wendy Keller … Compassion – Wisdom – Results

Julie Merrin … Julie’s Musings

Allie Irish … Ramblings of a WAHM

Lolly Daskal … Lead From Within

The Writing Huntress … Hunt Like You’re Hungry

Sandy Sandmeyer … Uncompromising!

Blessed … A Blessed Crazy Life

So, if you don’t know these outstandingly Sweet blogs and bloggers, click some links and say “hey.” They are all first class humans.

Thank you for joining in on Alaska Chick’s 3rd Birthday and thank you for being part of our lives.

Monday Motivation: Recognition and Praise

 Monday Motivation: Recognition and Praise

“There are two things people want more than sex and money…recognition and praise.” ~ Mary Kay Ash Recognition and praise. Two incredibly precious gifts to give, but also, two valuable motivators and inspiration to receive. Recognition and praise. Recognition is appreciation or acclaim for a service or achievement. Praise is to express warm approval or Continue Reading
