Professional Guides are Leaders

We are Professional Guides.

As Professional Guides we are also leaders. It is more than a position to obtain or a skill to master for us. It is who and what we are; we are Professional Guides and Professional Guides are leaders.

Professional Guides

Through the journey of discovering my own potential, when I was given the task of learning how and creating a website and learning to maintain it for the benefit of our business, I discovered a humbling amount of information and instruction and an entire world of people waiting.

“I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.  I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.”

~George Bernard Shaw

The blessings that came from the last years of learning and 15 to 17 hour days spent online are by far too numerous to mention (although never too many to think of and be grateful to) but I would say if asked that the biggest blessing was and still is by far, the people. An entire planet full of people waiting to make a difference in someone else’s life. So many good, smart, experienced, kind people, waiting to make a difference ~ even in my own life.

These people that I speak of have taught me, guided me through the wilderness of the Internet, offered advice and opinions, have offered to help me, have offered me a place on their own websites and blogs, have kept me company, cheered me on, backed me up, scolded me and kept me and our website safe, inspired and motivated. These people I speak of have made an incredible difference to and in my life.

“What we are is God’s gift to us.  What we become is our gift to God.”  ~Eleanor Powell

Leaders all, from CEOs of world wide companies, attorneys, teachers, authors, personal / business / life -coaches, house wives, retirees, Non-Profit Founders, strategists, entrepreneurs ~ to so many more! These people, from all walks of life, from all corners of the world, come together to become better leaders for those they serve.

“Each of us is a being in himself and a being in society, each of us needs to understand himself and understand others, take care of others and be taken care of himself.”  ~Haniel Long

Professional Guides are Leaders

As we walk our talk as Professional Guides and as leaders, we are here to serve those we lead. As we walk our talk and continue to learn, inspire, visualize and implement a goal or dream, we will shine together.

Those we touch, mentor or teach will be the living leading legacy of what is strong and right. If a Leader does not stand for what is right and good, who will? (If this statement rings a bell for you, you might want to see Alaska, You Have A Problem)

“Act as if what you do makes a difference.  It does.”  ~William James

Still, Stuck on Stupid

How is that working out for ya? And yet there you are still, stuck on stupid. This is a real topic, by the way. This is a real issue and a real pain in the posterior region. (yes: the ass) How often, if you were brutally honest with yourself, do you find yourself repeating or Continue Reading

Did She Just Call Me A Murderer?

A lesser woman might just get a bit het-up at moments like the one I experienced this morning. I asked online for the questions that may come to mind thinking of a Grizzly Bear Hunt, so that I might shed a new light on one of our own most treasured and successful adventures. The response Continue Reading

Faith is WiFi in the Wilderness
