Following our One Word focus for 2014, Fearless!
Today’s Monday Motivation focuses on the first letter of “Be Fearless!”
B as in Be Bold and Brave!
It isn’t always as easy or cut-and-dried as simply deciding to be bold or brave, but both are needed to become Fearless.
Bold and Brave
Bold is not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring: a bold hero, necessitating courage and daring; challenging or beyond the usual limits of conventional thought or action; imaginative.
Brave is defined as having or displaying courage, resolution, or daring; not cowardly or timid; to dare or defy, to confront with resolution or courage or to make splendid.
You might be wondering how to become or be more, both bold and brave, so that you too may be fearless in 2014?
I will share with you what has helped me to begin taking these steps and to be fearless in my own actions and life.
✔ First, and it is the first step in most things I have found, we really have to look inward.
We have to know who we are as individuals, and truly understand ourselves.
To know our own dreams and desires.
It isn’t about the position we may hold or what we do, it is about who we really are.
✔ Now! Begin now, take the first step, go!
(I know. This can be the scariest step of all!)
That first step- that’s the one.
Bold and brave are the opposite of hesitation.

✔ I’ve said it before: “Fake it till you make it.”
Even if you are shaking inside, pretend you are bold and brave!
You know what you want, you already know what you need to know about how to make your dream or goal come to life. Go!
✔ Finally remember, Walk your Talk.
Be who you say you are.
It isn’t bold or brave to make statements, claims or promises that you are unable to follow up on.
It is bold and brave to be honest.
If it didn’t work this time, try again!
Here are a few of my favorite quotes that help me to be bold and brave:
“Our real problem, then, is not our strength today; it is rather the vital necessity of action today to ensure our strength tomorrow.” ~ Dwight D. Eisenhower
“I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I demand of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.” ~ Napoleon Hill
“In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
Together, you and our Team, will Be Fearless! Remember: you are not alone in this.
